Edwards Mediation Academy Launches New Course Aimed at Career Development

Edwards Mediation Academy

The highly regarded online academy has a new offering for career mediators

Edwards Mediation Academy (EMA), an online interactive-learning platform for conflict-resolution skills, is announcing the launch of a new course aimed at advancing the career development of practicing professional mediators and those looking to enter this evolving profession. The new course, titled Developing Your Career in Mediation, begins with self-assessment and leads to the development of a strategic action plan the students can use in building their practice. Like all EMA courses, the Developing Your Career in Mediation course is intended to be taken on students’ own time and at their own pace.

“Whether in the U.S. or abroad, the most commonly asked question I get is ‘How do I develop a career in mediation?’ It’s exciting for us at EMA to now be able to offer an appropriately thoughtful and strategic answer to that important question in an online format,” said Bruce Edwards, founder of Edwards Mediation Academy.

The Edwards Mediation Academy website includes free samples of all courses, developed by instructional designers using the latest in online learning techniques. Edwards Mediation Academy’s commercial mediation coursesMediation Skills and Advanced Mediation are both certified with the California Bar Association for CLE credits.

All Edwards Mediation Academy online mediation courses are taught by leading experts in the field of mediation with thousands of hours of mediation experience (https://edwardsmediationacademy.com/about/additional-instructors/).

Edwards Mediation Academy was established by Bruce Edwards and his wife Susan Franson Edwards in 2014 to develop the best mediation training curriculum and make it available to the broadest possible audience. Bruce began his mediation career in 1985 and has since mediated over 7,000 commercial disputes. He has been actively involved in building the largest commercial provider of dispute-resolution services in the world, JAMS, where he served as its board chairman from 2011-2014. In addition to online training, Bruce and Susan have taught mediation skills and career development to government officials, judges, attorneys and business professionals in over 20 countries.
