Mrs. Doris Chiang has been giving private lessons since 1992. Many of her students have been awarded during the years, including local Orange County piano student, Dalton Yu.
LA MIRADA, Calif., March 29, 2018 (Newswire.com) – Sending children to piano lessons has been a classic parenting tactic for generations. Even today, it is encouraged to provide piano lessons to a bright, young mind. Learning music benefits youngsters and the lessons they learn through piano practice is used later in life. Developing the discipline to learn and practice music gives children confidence, and builds emotional and social realization. Doris Chiang, an Orange County Piano teacher, is very aware of these benefits and even pushes them to a higher level.
For years, Mrs. Chiang has been providing instruction in a fun and creative environment. She also encourages and inspires those students with skills and the desire to participate in competitions. In these cases, Doris provides special training to such pupils and prepares them for performance and competition opportunities available during the current year.
“Students are encouraged to share their music with the community,” says Mrs. Doris Chiang, who’s been providing piano lessons to Dalton Yu for three years. Dalton is a 12th-grade student at Troy High School in Fullerton, and he’s a young promise in local piano playing. He won the Concerto Competition celebrated in Orange County last October, and performed with the Orange County Symphony at the Anaheim Center for the Performing Arts at Servite.
Doris knows well about the pressures and demands on competitors, as she’s been in several competitions herself. Some of her many awards include winning the Bach Festival, both branch and regional; the Southwestern Youth Music Festival and the Music Associate Award at California State University, Fullerton. Mrs. Chiang also received high academic honors when she graduated with a Doctoral of Musical Arts in the University of Southern California.
Besides her private piano teaching, Doris Chiang is an active soloist and chamber pianist who usually presents programs at Richard Nixon Library and MTAC branch events. She’s a member of the Music Teachers’ Association of California and regularly performs in churches and schools. From 2010 to 2012, she was the president of MTAC Orange County and has participated in the MTAC Orange County Certificate of Merit Chair from 2012 to date.
The Doris Chiang Piano Studio offers piano lessons in several locations across Orange County, for people of all ages. Lessons have an emphasis on musical appreciation, technique, theory, and memorization. Both children and adults are encouraged to take classes in a relaxed, fun environment that develops each person’s talent in music.
