LONG BEACH, Calif., August 1, 2019 (Newswire.com) – Belal Hamideh, a workers’ comp attorney in Long Beach, represents workers from a number of different industries in their workers’ compensation cases. A recent study from the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics shows just how many different kinds of workers need workers’ compensation.
In a study entitled “Top 10 Private Industry Occupations With the Largest Number of Injuries and Illnesses,” the U.S. Department of Labor found that non-construction laborers, truck drivers, custodians, nursing assistants and general maintenance workers were the most likely to be hurt or fall ill, in that order. However, the next most injuries and illnesses were suffered by retail salespersons. In fact, a higher percentage of retail salespersons are injured or fall ill than registered nurses and construction laborers.
Under California law, these workers would qualify for workers’ compensation, provided that their injuries occurred while they were on the job, doing work. Belal Hamideh has taken on cases from all different kinds of workers over the years, with the goal of getting them the workers’ compensation they deserve.
“Stock clerks, retail salespeople, order fillers and other jobs that may seem like they’re entirely safe really aren’t. Salespersons and stock clerks are injured through the course of their jobs all of the time. When that occurs, it’s important to have an attorney on your side who knows how to get you all of the compensation you deserve. When you get hurt at work, you probably qualify for workers’ compensation,” said Mr. Hamideh, who is a personal injury attorney in Long Beach.
In addition to workers compensation cases, Belal Hamideh also serves as a car accident attorney in Long Beach,as well.
