LOS ANGELES, February 15, 2022 (Newswire.com) – Conquer Recovery Center, a drug and alcohol rehab center in Los Angeles, offers detoxification services as well as residential treatment for those who are addicted to alcohol and/or drugs. In light of recent opioid overdose statistics from the CDC, Conquer Recovery Center urges those struggling with addiction as well as their loved ones to reach out.
A study from the “National Center for Health Statistics, a division of the CDC, found that 932,364 people died in the U.S. from fatal overdoses from 1999 through 2020.” Moreover, CDC data shows that “another 100,000 drug deaths [were] expected in 2021.”
This affected people in all age groups and demographics. Additionally, “among adults aged 35-44, the age group with the highest rates, drug overdose deaths increased 33% from 2019 to 2020.” Also, “young people ages 15-24 saw the biggest year-to-year increase of fatal overdoses with deaths up 49% in 2020.”
Unfortunately, so many of these overdoses can be traced back to fentanyl. Time Magazine writes “a synthetic opioid that can be 50 times more potent than heroin,” fentanyl is “reaching more illegal drug users, including users of other drugs as it’s mixed in with stimulants such as methamphetamine and cocaine.”
Indeed, from 2019 through 2020, the CDC found that fentanyl-involved deaths rose “in the West by 93.9%, in the South, 64.7%, and in the Midwest, 33.1%.”
“These last two years have been so difficult for so many. Unfortunately, the stress, isolation, and other challenges that so many have faced have contributed to the worsening of the opioid crisis. If you’re struggling with an addiction to opioids or any other substance, we want you to know that there is hope. You can overcome this. It may not be easy, but it can be possible. Here at Conquer Recovery Centers, we’ve helped so many dealing with opioid addiction as well as similar problems. Through our high level of personalized care from doctors, nurses, therapists, and other professionals, we’ve assisted so many in finding the underlying causes of their addictions and then ultimately overcome those,” said David Davitian of Conquer Recovery Center.
Conquer Recovery Center is also an LA alcohol detox center, the only facility in Los Angeles to offer three private rooms. Currently, they are accepting new admits.
