The wildly-popular designer and art fair is slated to be one of the biggest editions to date.
LOS ANGELES, May 3, 2018 (Newswire.com) – 2018’s Spring edition of the wildly-popular Echo Park Craft Fair will take place on May 12 and 13 in Los Angeles. The event is hosted by Mack Sennett Studios, who has regularly hosted the biannual fair at their Silver Lake studios that doubles as a sprawling event venue and media production facility.
According to event organizers, this spring’s number of exhibitors and expected turnout is slated to be much bigger than in years past, with over 120 artist exhibits penciled in for the event. Several noteworthy exhibits include Hinge Designs, Me & Arrow, Sheldon Ceramics, Heidi Anderson, and Ilana Kohn’s line of clothing.
The Echo Park Craft Fair founders have thoughtfully created a diverse event format that showcases a range of exhibitors and their paintings, handmade crafts, apparel, cosmetics, glass art, and specialty foods– among other creative displays. Exhibits will line the closed-off Effie Street, which runs along the large soundstage doors of the historic studio space in Los Angeles. Inside the studios, exhibitors will occupy two of the sprawling soundstages.
The fair was founded in 2009 by Beatrice Valenzuela and Rachel Craven in a small backyard setting. The event has now grown immensely in turnout and notoriety, having been featured in major publications such as the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Forbes, Los Angeles Magazine, and NBC News. Since its inception a decade ago, the Echo Park Craft Fair now features a wider base of community-based artists and international artists. The event has drawn a loyal following of art connoisseurs from around the world.
Tickets for the event can be purchased online at $16 for both days and $10 for single day tickets. The fair runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m on both Saturday and Sunday. The address to Mack Sennett Studios is 1215 Bates Avenue in Los Angeles, located just one block from Sunset Boulevard. Parking will be available at the King’s Middle School lot for the duration of the event.
